Garun 9 Report post Posted January 30, 2017 I'm able to play roughly 25 hours a week and I'm wondering if that is enough time to be able to get the consumables and everything to be the 1st OT or MT of a relatively casual raiding guild. I really enjoy being a prot warrior in endgame and know the spec well, but I would like to know ahead of time if I can even do it.
Vilius 1 Report post Posted January 30, 2017 I'm assuming with casual raiding you mean no more than 8 hrs per week in raids. If so 25 hrs per week total should be plenty to do the extra things you need to do.
Haestingas 30 Report post Posted January 30, 2017 Yeah you can definitely cover consumes and such with 17h. Even at just 10g an hour that's 170g a week which would cover everything but a titans.
Jeetee 2 Report post Posted January 31, 2017 U can play 12 hours a week and be fine. Be smart play the ah.
Adeline 2 Report post Posted January 31, 2017 If you're the MT your guild bank might cover a flask per week for you. If you're not you wont need it either way. Raiding, even for a casual guild will take no longer than 6-7 hours in total per week for BWL and MC/Ony. You would be fine with 15 hours /played per week.
Undertanker 88 Report post Posted January 31, 2017 A good measure if 1 hour of farming for every 2 hours of raiding. This changes with Naxx though, though holds true for AQ and before.
Alrik 6 Report post Posted January 31, 2017 Depends, do you have an alt that can generate Money? If you don't die in Raids you kinda get out even with BWL+MC in terms of Consums (without Flask).
Undertanker 88 Report post Posted January 31, 2017 You don't need an alt to farm. Understand the economy, what items are got, and grind for them. Some come from level 38 mobs. Some from level 18 mobs, so on. I will not detail by trade secrets, but highest level mobs does not mean highest gold per hour.
Storfan 24 Report post Posted January 31, 2017 (edited) Lets not forget. Tanking is in high demand and people will will PAY for a well geared and skilled tank. 25-50g/hour isnt impossible just from tanking 5mans for people. I actually tried charging like 10 or 20g per run of DM W on nost with preraid BiS gear (the damn server shut down after my guild's first week in MC) and people just bitched and I didn't get any offers. Do I need to have some raid gear to be able to charge like that?

Jeetee 2 Report post Posted February 9, 2017 (edited) Farm mobs that drop useful raid mats. Go look at the mats required for things like fire potions, restorative potions, nature potions, etc. Edited February 9, 2017 by Jeetee
