Crossfaction Buffing (Paladin buffs)

Recommended Posts

What is the official stance regarding using priest+paladins to buff a whole horde raid, Is it allowed or against any rule, that i cant find?

Wouldn't it take longer to buff an entire raid with Paladin buffs, than the buff would last? What is the point of doing this anyway?

You could buff every person 1 by 1, have 15 min buff, which is like 50% of a MC speed run. You could also make dps records with it.

That must be why horde guilds have the fastest clear times.

It has been done before yes, on Feenix and Emerald Dream I believe, to set speed records as mentioned above by Horde. Lots of logistics, communication involved with alts, MCing, etc to be done. But certainly doable and not illegal as mentioned, unless multiboxers.

That's how my guild got 11/15 in Naxx on retail and killed C'thun, 40 soulstones with 8 unused warlock soulstones in the raid.

To OP;

This is not considered an exploit, and is allowed.

More importantly (IMO) is that horde has Blood lust, which I haven't seen posted yet. Why would you then need pally buffs? They kinda* balance each other out... Not to mention you don't really need buffs for trash. Again IMO.

EDIT* Also not sure cause I'm a filthy alliance player, is there a blood lust debuff yet? And is blood lust raid wide or party wide? regardless its pretty nice.

Because they're more stats and buffs, and to set speed clears, kills, etc. Stacks with all other attainable world buffs, etc.

I've seen naxx geared Horde ork warrs by the end of vanilla with 3600-4k AP after all said and done.

blood lust is a tbc buff (alliance version is heroism) and it only works for the party raid wide blood lust was a wrath of the lich king change.

How about low level warlock alts to soulstone the entire raid?

Allowed, as long as they are not multiboxing. For reference this was changed in the Burning Crusade after it had been abused for so long.

 "Patch 2.1.0 (22-May-2007): Soulstones can no longer be used on targets not in your party or raid. In addition, the soulstone buff will now be removed if the target or caster leaves the party or raid."
