Banned For the wrong reason. What to do?

Recommended Posts

So iknow most of you wont belive me but this is the truth:

Came back from work 4hours ago and was banned.

Sent this to Ban Appeals:

"Account Name: (Removed)

PVP/PVE Realm: anathema

E-Mail Associated With Account: (Removed)

Highest Level Character Name: (Removed)

Ban Reason/Notes: No idea. havent done anything wrong according to your rules and if i some how did im very sorry for it."

Then i got:

"Your account was banned for buying gold. As such this ban is not open for appeal, however you are welcome to create a new account as long as you play by the rules."

Then i sent:

"I never bought gold EVER. I FARMED SILITHUS 8-12 hours on saturday. Sent alot of texts/crests/runecloth to my alt Laserleif (same account) sold on ah and sent back. This should be easy to check for you..."

"Can you please check ACC gold Inn/out so you know im aint lying"

"

Only income iv had is from AH/mobs. and a friend gave me 50g 2months ago.

And i havent given any gold to other players......"

Please Recheck my case. This is not right. Thanks!

This is one of our core raiders. We would really like to solve this issue.

I know we don't have any right to claim proof ect, but knowing this player we trust him and want to help him. So if you could review his case again, to see if he might got hacked or otherwise?

Hopefully we can get to a conclusion here.

Best regards

Borken

We are all human. Mistakes can have been made. All we ask is that you look into the matter again.

Sounds like a confirmation right there, that some 'shady' business DID take place...

Just sayin'....

Scenario: you get hacked. (The victim here does not have 2pt authenticator ... sigh)
Wouldn't a quick IP check and/or a look into which way the gold was traded solve the issue?
I have no clue how GM operate, so don't be hasty to judge if this is already standard procedure as well.
All I'm saying is that 'maybe' with all the recent drama and extra hours for staff and GMs, someone overlooked a fact somewhere.

"Alright deemer. You do seem like a nice fellow. I will have this double checked however I cannot be certain that we won't come back with the same response.

I have marked your account for further review. Please be patient as this can take time."

Thanks!

Not sure how you reached that conclusion.
This is a guild-member of mine and I wouldn't have his back if he did indeed buy gold.. I'd be upset at him for wasting our time as a guild.

That's because you misunderstood his sentence. He's talking about possible mistakes on GMs part, not the banned player.

This is why you are banned. That guy either wasn't a friend but a goldseller you bought gold from, or your 'friend' had dirty gold.

I rerolled on zethkur and donate, from my first lvl 60 main on darrowshire, 600g and a whole bunch of other stuff to my ex gildmates, i send it all to my Guildleader for the Guildbank. No one got banned, there must by some shady deals or big mistake from GM's

I don't see why we should care that the banned crook is one of your core raid0rz. Core raid0rz buy gold too.

I stopped reading where you said that he "might have been hacked".

So, he got hacked, and the haXX0r bought the gold, not him. kk.

Start recruiting for Core Raid0rz.

1. Frankly, you don't have to care at all. Borken is simply trying to help a guild-member out. A guild-member that we believe is innocent of what he is being accused of.
2. Gold-seller acquire a fair amount of their gold from accounts that they hack. Poor judgement in terms of using the same password on multiple private server platforms and not using 2PT authentication could easily result in being hacked.  Assuming that someone hacked the account and then bought gold is just absurd.
A more logic chain of events is that the person was hacked and the perpetrator traded the gold to his bank (who may be associated with gold-selling).

However, we are grateful that staff members have agreed to have a second look at the issue.
