The Devilsaur monopoly.

It wasn't allowed on the same account, but it was allowed if you had two accounts.  Plenty of people did it, there was no rule against having multiple accounts for this very reason.

The second one you keep repeating without any substance.  Explain how they're circumventing the communication.  Forums and cross-faction communication have existed since the game launched in 2004.

The game was built to prevent cross faction communication.  Why do you say that is without substance?

Also why do you think it was made so 1 account could have only 1 faction?

Are you for some reason unable to do the same thing?

Essentially, you're sayin' that the average player is bound to use an external software to bypass a specifically made game-limitation in order to play the above-mentioned game.

The mechanics by which I can't attack same faction players should not be exploited to setup a monopolio: if by any chance they earn real money from it, they'll have more resources than anyone else in protecting their business (because they're paid for it).

if there's a monopoly on an item and they keep the price at 25g, they can sell 100g for $17 by trading 4 items. None will catch them.

They. Are. Not. Communicating. In. Game.  Why is that not sinking in for you?  They're not circumventing any of the rules in the game.

Why do you think it is that they are not communicating in game?

2.  In retail and here you cannot communicate with the opposing faction.  Just because you can easily circumvent something that was not intended doesn't mean it's allowed.

In retail Blizzard set up a realm forum where I regularly chatted with members of the opposing faction.

Prove that they are.  Helping another player does not mean they're communicating.

There are circumstances in which it's evident without doubts that they're circumventing the game's mechanics: for example, when they whisper you "GTFO or you'll be ganked and corpse-camped"

If they setup a monopoly on an item and they keep the price at 25g, they can sell 100g for $17 by trading 4 items. None will notice it. Faster and safer than using bots.

Not to mention almost every server had a mIRC channel. I used to collude with friends on the opposite faction in Gurubashi Arena for the chest. As well as baiting people to get MC'd into the lava in BRM. No one was ever banned or warned despite being reported multiple times. This was on Kel'Thuzad(US).

Did you use those forums to coordinate griefing and economy control with the other faction?

Co-ops between the factions were discussed all the time on the forums.  The STV chest was a big one as mentioned above, especially in the twink community.  Horde and Alliance constantly had cooperation between each other for the chest and would kill anyone else trying to get it, regardless of faction.

Not crying.  Just pointing out it's obviously against the rules.  It's awesome that the players can do something about it but it would be nice if the GMs helped out.

Isn't that the one spot in the game where that are no factions?  Not a good example.

So you're allowed to communicate as long as it's a free for all area?  But communicating is against the rules!

Co-ops is one thing. Monopoly by co-ops is another.

It is not comparable due to there being no factions in that area.

Your main problem is that the factions are communicating with each other.  They used to communicate for who would get the chest in STV, and Blizzard never did anything about it.  How's it not comparable?

It's not allowed in any instance.  I was just saying your example of communication doesn't compare to what is happening in un'goro and was pointless to bring up.

If it's not allowed in any instance, why did Blizzard not do anything about it on the old forums?

Time and money I assume.  I was never an employee at Blizzard so I don't know why they would choose not to enforce the rules.

You are implying that due to not enforcing rules that its ok to break them.  That is an incorrect assumption.
