We need more monitoring on current prices for high level herbs

Hell, can we talk seriously about what is going on with the herbs?

The price have completely gone completely mad with the Plaguebloom and Dreamfoils on this server, andthere is nothing we can do about it? I spend 3h farming Plaguebloom and I got NOT A SINGLE ONE, I also never had the chance to see a Black lotus, even looted by someone else. What actions are the project leaders taking to get this problem solved?

I do know there aren't that many new players on Anathema, but for the few there is it must be such a pain in the ass to get some consumables for raiding...

Whilst the herbalists that are (managing to) selling the herbs are loving it. The people that wish to buy the herbs/potions are not.

100g+ for one lotus is an insane amount, not to mention a stack of Dreamfoil/Plaguebloom/Mountain Silversage...

Dont agree with the price? Then dont buy it for the price. It's the only way to stop this

The herbs are priced that high because there are people willing to spend that much gold to buy them.  It's the simple economics of supply and demand.  As demand pushes prices up, fewer people are willing to pay those prices and the market reaches an equilibrium.  The price can also be pushed up artificially by individuals with deep pockets that want to set a new "benchmark" for what these herbs cost.  There's no downside to listing herbs at incredibly high prices as the deposit remains the same.  All they have to do is buyout anything listed cheaper until the new normal takes hold.  The greed of other herbalists will help cement the new normal.

The only way for players to encourage the prices to drop is for people to stop buying them. Farm your own herbs or settle for supplemental goods such as Elixirs of Greater Agility instead of Elixirs of the Mongoose.  Superior Mana Potions instead of Major Mana Potions.  The only way the devs can encourage the prices to drop would be to increase spawn rates on herbs.  Higher supply makes it difficult to artificially control prices.

When you clearly saw the prices rising so drastically, you should have bought a bunch to sell later on at a higher price.

well we have the same amount of people herbing as they did when everything spawned 2x faster. it was like this for a long time and now its very slow so it explains the prices along with aq coming

You can't find them because half the server is herbing. A plant is up for <1m before it's picked, with every lotus camped 24 7.

Prices are high because of hording and resellers.

This is not a server fault or staff problem. Either farm your own and get someone to make the potions... or find someone to sell to you for normal prices. But no one will do that, proving that greedy players are part of the problem. None of the players are willing to be part of the solution, and are instead part of the problem. Don't ask the staff to intervene.

Or farm something else and use that gold to buy what you need.
