Getting ganked after logout

I have logged into a dead character twice but when I logged out I was alive.  How am I getting killed while not logged in?

Did you wait for the 20 second timer when you're logging out?

If not, your character is still in the game for those 20 seconds and can be killed in that time.

alt+f4 leaves the char ingame for 2 minutes

You need to actually click the logout button and wait the 20 sec, or else like it was stated above, your char will be visible for 2 minutes

There's no such place. I've had people try to shank me at the bank in org.

Haha, good point though. Same happens in IF sometimes, but it's too rare for me to wait 20 seconds just in case of that.

Same here. The other day I got ganked in Duskwood right next to the hermit by someone right when I logged out. Not used to being on a PVP server, but whatever. It's a game. Someone must've ganked you when you logged out.

If you aren't logging out inside an Inn or a capital city, blame yourself if you get ganked on a PvP server.
