I know this server is being ran somewhere in EU correct, I live EST in the United States. So as the post stated the "AMA on Sunday November 13th on /r/wowservers at 9PM server time" I have no idea what the server time translates to my time EST. Can someone please assist me? I'm very intrigued. 

CET (Central European time) which I assume the server will be at would be 6h ahead of EST, meaning 3PM in your time.

Good news! What about banned accounts on Nost? They still will be banned or will playable?

If you were banned for spamming or something similar during the last week, that ban should be lifted. If you were banned before the closing announcement or you were banned for something serious during the final week - botting, cheating, hacking - then your ban will remain in place.

 

I guess I should wait with downloading the client, as I guess a new one will be released for the new servers? Or will I just be able to change the realmlist if I download it now?

You can just change the realmlist.wtf - the client itself will be the same.

 

So ваууed up... lvl 60 here on elysium for 3 months and few days after I end everybody stop playin... than my char will be transfered to realm with AQ opening.. nice... so i can start new char on fresh server and start doing 60 Again... realy cool!!!! hope you guys will allow transfer to fresh server!!!!! not 1,5 years old one... delete all items and leave me my 60 with few golds i have on fresh server.. thanks!

 

 

Hi, Elysium! Ehm, for me, my guild and for all people here.. maybe some answers? We are all very confused and uninformed. Yes, i know, we must wait, but you can't really say nothing? So, all the time, throughout these months, I've been waiting for this? When Nost come back? That is all? Problem is i delete all my characters from Nost, forgot my old email and now? Play with my little hero at 30lvl from Elysium against guys with T2? Pre AQ time? When vanilla is near its end? Please remember that Nostalrius PvP server had a massive population, significant portion of which was under-60 and another big chunk was fresh 60s still struggling in Molten Core. The number of players/guilds farming BWL and ready for AQ40 was large on its own but not large when put in propotion with the total server population. Yes, you will see characters in full T2 gear or R13 gear. But they are a minority, not the majority. Nostalrius population was constantly growing on both the PvP and the PvE realms, up to the closing announcement.

 

Let me make this absolutely clear: a fresh 60 from Elysium will not stand out like a sore thumb on the new PvP server. There will be hundreds of other characters in the exact same situation. It will not be a ghost town of "being left behind" or anything like that.

 

Now, having said that, if your primary objective was to be on the bleeding edge of progression at all times, then unfortunately that objective has now become significantly more difficult to achieve.

Based on the information which they have already provided it is pretty clear:

 

The voting Is more then likely some random poll which a forum member made and has no relevance to anything.

 

"Fresh Start"; as was explained in the original post of this topic, refers to one of the new servers which will be made aimed at catering to people who didnt play on Nost or Elysium or would prefer not to play on the main database server. As was covered in Pottu's post, the Nostalrius community was huge, with over 250,000 active accounts many of which were below 60 or had just hit 60; this in combination with the fact that many guilds will now be reformed and the internal community redeveloped by the player-base no member will be left behind. However it would seem that there will be no transfers to the "Fresh Start" server

 

 

From my understanding, You shouldnt have a problem logging into either your current Elysium or Nostalrius account so long as you either:

Know the Log-in information

Possess the attached email information which this information would be sent to in the event of you forgetting your account information

(similar to any other forum or game)

 

 

 

Just read the posts guys... the gms have been really helpful with all the information they have provided and for the most part have already all the questions asked.

From the information provided (Don't quote me on this because im not 100%), the current state of the server seems to be similar to that of a PTR until the database is unfrozen, in that all your equipment/gold/materials are there but will be reset to before the merge once it is unfrozen. 

 

To this extent one thing you could do similar as would be done on a PTR is you could use this time to bug test any of the bugs you are either currently aware of or may suspect to be present in order to prepare for the relaunch; not only would this improve your gameplay but everyone else's on the server

So the server is pointless minus bug testing. I really didn't wanna go back to another server til then... 4 weeks huh... oh well.

Secondly do you have any precautions for Blizzard apocalypse? Can you give any promise about at least 1 year of not shutting down your servers?

It is temporary frozen database until merge fully complete.

Unfortunately that is not going to be possible. The Valkyrie database is massive and has significant differences to both Nostalrius database and Elysium database. It would make our already daunting task even more difficult.

Since the Valkyrie population is so low, a database transfer isnt necessarily needed. For example, you could implement a simple ticket-based system where a person on valkyrie could at least get the gear on his character and his gold transfered over. IMO its extremely unfair to just neglect the Valkyrie community in such a way. They were here far before the nost guys(which I have nothing against.), and have supported this project through though times, I can honestly say you can easily do this as an act of gratitude to the few members left playing on valk.
