some question about the realms

hey guys,
first of all: my english is very bad, but i hope you can understand my question.

I have some question about the realms and the realm technique. Elysium would be my first privat server.

If the third realm come online, I'm worried about the realm population. It is possible, that we can talk with other characters from other realms? Or can we only interact with the players on our realm and do not see the others on other realms?

 

And my other little question is: Do we have a start termin for the first realm?

I wouldn't be worried about population just yet, as all three realms will surely be packed with players. I do not believe that there is any interaction between the realms, such as chat or seeing players from other realms.

 

As far as I know there is no set release date for the first realm yet, but I have a feeling that we won't have to wait too loong.

To be fair JustBloodwork did say that this is his first private server, I would be sceptical about population aswell if I was new.

 

PVP means you are flagged for PvP. So if you meet a member of the opposing faction you can fight each other. PVE means you are not automatically flagged, so it is a lot more peaceful.

PvP server you will expect ganks, action and adventure with the threat of doom looming over your head.

 

PvE is basically for the carebears, Streamers (cant stream on pvp server and level lol) and people who don't wana stress about a rogue jumping them at low HP when leveling.

PvE is for people who want to PvP when they choose to. Only difference.

If you want to be able to explore the possibilities of each realm, you will be able to make toons on all of them and chat with people there. You will also be able to chat with people from each realm here on the message boards, just as was done with Nostalrius. If you want to get an idea what it was like, you can even go visit those message boards now and take a look.

You can see both servers had some mutual interests and concerns. They also had some entirely different situations to deal with. Low population was never a concern and I'm pretty sure it isn't going to be a concern this time either : )

Dealing with PvP while leveling, while frustrating, is a break from all of the quest and mob grinding.

 

I won't forget how I was playing a week or two after Nostalrius' first launch and I got ganked repeatedly at STV by edgy undead rogues. Me, and several others, formed a raid and camped nessingwary for over an hour with 30+ people. 

 

I also won't forget how I saw a level 38 hunter pet single-handedly got a level 60 mage to 13% health before the hunter was killed. 

 

If you don't want to PVP then I suggest you go play retail where you can get to level cap in a day's time and just sit in the city while waiting for a dungeon queue. Or maybe you should play a single player game since multiplayer is too challenging for u

yea these pve players should be happy they even got a server to play on. back in the good old days private servers didnt do pve but since theres a  lot of nooblets joining the private server community they open pve realms to contain them so gms dont get bothered by pve bears complaining

before nostalrius a private server that was PvE was unheard of

 

Now we have retail babbies coming out of the woodwork who cry about getting ganked

 

Just make a mage or rogue and you'll be fine. Those two classes can get out of or avoid confrontations.

Being ganked isn't challenging, it's just a frustrating waste of time. Extra corpse runs aren't challenging, they're just a frustrating waste of time. Ganking is not the only "multiplayer" activity in the game.

 

The way you elitists talk, you'd think that WoW is all about world PvP and nothing else. Because that's literally the only difference between PvP and PvE servers, is the ability to gank people outside of battlegrounds.
