Remove weapon trainer lvl requirement

Recommended Posts

Hi

I would like to suggest on the removal on the required level on learning to use new weapons.

For example, as human paladin, I cannot use two hand swords at level 1, which is rather irritating and doesn't make much sense.
At the moment the level requirement of two-hand swords is level 10.

While level 10 is nothing at all, some weapons below level 10, like the green two-hand training sword, would come in handy.

Also, I am not suggesting any change to the cost of the weapon training, just the level requirement.

Regards
- Cel

Because I think classes should be able to have access to the weapons they are designed for.

Being able to use two-hand maces, but not two-hand swords and two-hand axes from level 1, doesn't make much sense to me.

Do you think you will be able to replace your first green quest item in the first 10 levels of the game?

You can. At level 10, after you pay 10s for it.

The time you waste by running to the respective capital city to learn the weapon skill could be used to lvl up to 10 already...

Yeah. That's why they need to put weapon trainers at the starter areas. And remove the fee also.

So we have seen the retailers complain they have to play with others, now that they have to travel and venture.

Yeah. That's why we need all flight paths unlocked also. And remove the fees.

Everyone loves to say, no no you guys got it all wrong. We aren't gonna ask for more than just a couple of obvious simple quality of life improvements. Then we say but if you ask for one thing then you'll ask for this and that and more. No you say, we only want that one thing.

And now we have this. Yes lets remove the weapon requirement from level 10. 10! I mean that takes like 4 hours to get to. Who cares at that point? Ah but if you lower the requirement well now we have to complain about the fact that it costs money to train in. See exhibit A above.

Vanilla is as it was. Stop trying to change it! If you want freebie crap then go play retail. Training, believe it or not has important reasons to stay in the game. Here's a couple: exploration, feeling of accomplishment, sense of purpose, goals for progression.

I remember the first time I trained 2h axes. That 10s seemed like SO much. But I had enough left over to buy a semi-ok green axe on the AH. I felt like I could conquer the world afterwards.

I agree too much work involved. Why not just send a follower from your garrison to do it for you?

Shhh... dont tell the op that a feeling of being rewarded is a thing if you actually put work into something.

Finding the weapon trainer is exploration. It's part of the journey. I would feel accomplished if I got free weapon training at lvl 1. My goal is to get to 60 asap. That's why we need instant 60s.

There are a lot of instant 60 fun servers out there. I'd suggest you go to them because vanilla wow is clearly not for you.

But I like the community here. They just need to start allowing people to experience the game in a more open and casual environment and they'll really have something here. And a cash shop. That's why we need a cash shop.

Complete edit:

I wasn't suggesting that people start with the ability to use every single weapon, that their class is designed for.
One would still need to go to the capital city to learn the ability, I was merely suggesting that the level requirement was removed. Just that. Not the cost, or anything else.
