DRAGUNOV88 1 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 Please consider doing something for the players that choose mining/blacksmithing/engineering right now the veins are rare to non existent only appearing in caves and some of them are bugged and cannot be mined. I've walked all over the place where you could usually find veins on retail servers and there are none. And considering the fact that everyone is leveling turns it into logistical nightmare on the PVP server a stack of copper bars goes as high as 1 gold.
ccsolembum 1 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 best thing to do is level to 60 then worry about professions, grind dead mines for tin/copper if you really have too etc

Kazuma 11 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 (edited) Still the server is striving for blizz like and this creates discomfort! Poor you. Pls go to Afrika and starve for a couple of months. Now thats what I call discomfort. If you want to accomplish something you're gonna have to work for it. Ps: 1g for a stack of copper is pocket money. Mealticket 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 All trolling aside, this is what Nost was like. This isn't blizzlike, the pop is 4x vanilla capacity. I'm pretty sure dynamic respawn are already in the game. Bugged nodes should be reported in the bug forum though.
DRAGUNOV88 1 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 The problem is that there are no nodes in all of the regular places you would usually find them in vanilla wow they only seem to respawn in caves !
Mealticket 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 That's because no one takes the time to kill the mobs in a cave for a node. There are people passing by the nodes shortly after spawns and taking it. 10k players online from 4pm-6am. This is one of the problems with the super high pop.

Stormhart 12 Report post Posted December 22, 2016 Drop mining, take skinning. Only kill skinnable creatures, sell all leather, buy ores, train smithing/engineering. ??
magicrealm 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2016 The thread is serious and should be taken serious. WIthout crafting half of leveling fun is gone, the other half in Pick-up quests.
gotmilk0112 10 Report post Posted December 22, 2016 they only seem to respawn in caves ! I don't even have Mining, and I've seen so many mining nodes outside of caves. Quit your QQ.
Papajimboh 12 Report post Posted December 22, 2016 I'm a miner and haven't seen a TON, but I see them regularly. I've probably mined 50+ ore from nodes up to level 19 just hitting the ones I come across while questing and 2 or 3 in the only VC run I've done so far. If I were to actively go farming I'm betting I'd find more. It's cooking mats I need. I've gotten enough boar meat, boar intestines, boar livers and boar gonads to open up my own pork shop.
Tempest 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2016 The thread is serious and should be taken serious. WIthout crafting half of leveling fun is gone, the other half in Pick-up quests. Idk how it is on PvP but on PvE ore is cheaper than dirt, literally. Elemental earth is worth way more.
Xom 8 Report post Posted December 22, 2016 I leveled Mining/Engi up on the PvP server when it as between 6k-10k population average. I can only imagine how much more difficult it is now. While leveling, mining is probably the most brutal one to try to keep up, so it probably seems even more dispiriting since you are also battling 60's on mounts; not to mention the agony of getting up to 125 before you have a mount. It's going to be tough, expect it to be nearly impossible and then can be glad when you complete it in a merely "Grueling" status. Even herbs on the PvE server are much more scarce than I recall back in retail - but I know that I probably was on a lower population server with less farmers back then. Ramp up the population and that almost everyone has a gathering mod and what was once already somewhat scarce like Mountain Silversage or Mithril or Truesilver nodes are almost never seen. People are just so ubiquitous in the open world that if you see a node and go towards it, there's a good chance there will be another player going for the same node, at least on the PvP server it felt that way. The big thing is that tome-zones are not a thing. There is no timeframe where herbs/ore can repopulate in a region, so things always feel farmed out. The "quiet times" where you could log in and farm up some good few stacks of herbs doesn't happen, because people are always farming internationally. It is certainly more difficult than with a regular population, but I reckon it's more of a hindrance to the more hardcore guilds who are going to be progressing through AQ40 or eventually Naxx and will come into an issue with there being not enough Black Lotus for flasks for the server's guilds. I know people will be able to "make do" if they can't flask up, or can't level their crafting skills that quickly, but I kind of think having enough resources available is key to making vanilla a good experience. Once the fresh server is released it may reduce numbers slightly and help things out, but I doubt that it will change the demand all that much. I like the idea of keeping the game un-altered, but this seems like something which was a problem before, and will continue to impinge on players to enjoy the game fully even more in the future as more people reach 60 and farming intensifies. Anyway, good luck out there.
