koseku 2 Report post Posted January 9, 2017 Today is monday morning and there are 7600 queue... this is ridicilious. there is no way mthat much people can play at this time. I know many people leave their char online to avoid queueing again, so there must be a system that disconnects people who are afk like more than half hour

Yozo 2 Report post Posted January 9, 2017 My friend fell asleep during a flighpath and when he woke up several hours later, he was still in character select. So he'd been holding up a spot on the server unintentionally for several hours. This needs to be addressed, people are not getting disconnected from character select as you think they are.
Yoga 3 Report post Posted January 9, 2017 I had guidie from nost pvp who leveled also in elysium pvp. Went for sleep for 8 hours was still on character select at the morning. Everyone does that because once you log out you will not get back in.
Yozo 2 Report post Posted January 9, 2017 And they are the sole reason there's a 5 hour queue a monday morning. So damn egoistic
Nahaz 5 Report post Posted January 9, 2017 What are these stories about staying online for hours afk? I grabbed a quick bite to eat and was already out when i came back.
Yozo 2 Report post Posted January 9, 2017 The amount of people online is actually decreasing by the hour, even though there's a massive queue

I saw some character standing in lakeshire for hours and doing absolutely nothing besides jumping every few minutes. 1 hour ago, Nahaz said: What are these stories about staying online for hours afk? Completely disconnected from the server or in the character selection screen, still logged in?

noob257 36 Report post Posted January 9, 2017 2 hours ago, Nahaz said: Disconnected. This is strange. Other players are able to stay online in the character selection screen. Maybe they have some kind of auto-disconnect, but it doesn't work in every case.
Papajimboh 12 Report post Posted January 9, 2017 I had just assumed there already was too until I found out on accident there isn't an auto DC. It only sends you to the character screen. I was online and just left to go watch TV thinking it would log me out anyway, but when I came back a few hours later I was still on the character select screen. (Was on the PvE server, so I wasn't hogging a queue spot or anything.) There should definitely be a way to auto kick people who are afk, and especially if they are botting. Maybe regular resets every hour for the first week or a fresh server or something to bump the AFKers. Sucks if you're questing and get kicked, but also sucks when you're in a 20k queue while other people are already getting close to being able to run their first dungeon. lol
Daedric 4 Report post Posted January 9, 2017 From their Twitter: Elysium Project @elysium_dev 6h6 hours ago ATTN: Any form of Anti-AFK system abuse can result in a ban (depending on severity). We are actively working on a fix for the long queue.
gotmilk0112 10 Report post Posted January 9, 2017 9 hours ago, koseku said: there must be a system that disconnects people who are afk like more than half hour IIRC Blizzard did have something like this back in the day. I remember being on my Rogue one time and forgetting that I was logged in, until I heard a window popup sound; tabbed into WoW client and saw a message saying that I was AFK for too long and would be disconnected in 60 seconds if I remained idle. I think it was somewhere around 30-40 minutes.
ktak 6 Report post Posted January 9, 2017 There is no AntiAFK programm needed. I woke up today at 10 am, tried to log in to the game, there was queue for 7400 people. Then I waited 4 hours 33 minutes for enter the game, then I went to do my works and didn't nothing in game. I was kicked only to character screen. So after 4 more hours(~20:00) I started to play the game and played about 30 mins, then karma(b*tch) "played with me a game" and I got electricity down in my room for half a hour, so I tried to enter to the game and got queue of 14 000 people. Then I said f*ck it and just went away. GG WP!

arbet 9 Report post Posted January 10, 2017 21 hours ago, Nahaz said: What are these stories about staying online for hours afk? I grabbed a quick bite to eat and was already out when i came back. Really? I can leave my character logged in for at least 30 minutes and it stays logged in... and then once it logs the character out, it keeps me in the character select screen (still logged in) for several hours. I went to bed one night and woke up the next morning still logged in.
Kazgarul 1 Report post Posted January 10, 2017 On like the 2-3rd day of Kronos a GM appeared ingame and announced through /y "If you're abusing AFK you will be banned" to give people an opportunity to stop. Then ported to every inn and banhammered everyone who was AFK. That actually helped a lot and it was fun watching half the inn disappear.

Every inn got tons of people afk'ing there for hours. Ban the accounts or this will never stop. Remember when people on retail used click maching to afk farm honor in BGs? Pretty much same thing will happen here if the devs keep ignoring the problem.
