we need to extremely vet these qiraji before opening the gates, and also deal with the night elves who come over the eastern kingdoms as level 2 or 3 and steal our quest mobs when they should be leveling on kalimdor until at least 30+

Because of recent happenings, the AQ patch got a bit delayed. In theory they can release it tomorrow in a broken state, so that it is still within the timeline.

But it will be delayed, and I expect it to show up halfway or at the end of next month.

ALSO if I remember correctly, they will release it in the pre-nerf state for a harder challenge but with the gamebreaking bugs(like tons of tentacles in places that wasn't supposed to happen) fixed,

Meanwhile, farm up some more nature resistance gear, pots etc. Farm for your 100% mount, farm gold, gear up your guildies for a good AQ run. Prepare your butts! :)

It's a free server. Scripting is kinda good, population is solid, its not p2w. Just chill and enjoy the ride.

Stop spreading lies. 1 senior developer left the project and for a good reason. Claims otherwise are just trash talking from jealous people who want to see us crash and burn.

As to OP, AQ is coming. Please remember that patch 1.9 is the largest patch in vanilla WoW. It not only includes two raids and a massive event, it also has many itemisation changes. It's way more work than any patch before it. The only comparable patch is the Naxxramas one because there is so much content in Naxx to be properly scripted. As we've announced before, our aim is to bring AQ40 back in its glorious state before Blizzard nerfed with, while making sure that there aren't any bugs that would block gameplay. We could have just kicked it out in a half-working, post-nerf state and call it a day - but we don't want to do that. Will it be perfect? Probably not. But it'll be better than any other AQ launch in private server history.
