Zeth'Kur Migration — Transfers starting June 7th

Dear Zeth’Kur Community,

We have reached a decision regarding the character transfers from Zeth'Kur.

NOTE: Read the following text carefully to avoid any misunderstandings! The transfers will not happen until Zeth'Kur closes, so you will have plenty of time to decide and discuss it with your guild and friends!

Zeth'kur will close on Wednesday June 21st, 2017.

Transfer process:
On Wednesday June 7th, 2017, a caravan will visit every major faction city that will carry heroes across the dimensional barrier. There you can find an NPC which will explain to you each realm and offer a one-time, non-repeatable non-changeable quest for each of the remaining realms. Picking up and finishing one of these quests will determine to which realm the character will be transferred to. This process must be repeated for every character. Also, take your time and think about it as the process is final.

Once the realm closes, all remaining characters on Zeth'Kur will be automatically transferred to Anathema.

Another announcement, regarding the process for resolving name conflicts, will follow up soon. Stay tuned!

While the closure of Zeth'kur has been widely debated amongst our community, we feel that our decision to close it and offer transfers to the other realms is the best option for the future of Elysium as a whole. We apologize for any inconvenience that this transfer may cause, but we promise to continue improving your Vanilla WoW experience.

Thanks for the update! Glad to hear it's not as far away as I had expected!

Why was Anathema made the default? I'm concerned mostly for guildies and friends who have stopped playing, but may want to return at a future date. Elysium is by far the closest to ZK, and where the vast majority of active players seem to be interested in moving. It is also where ex-players, who aren't actively keeping up with the news, will assume they are going based on prior information. So it is surprising that the initial plan to merge players into Elysium as the default was changed, and instead Anathema is now the default server. Can you explain any of the reasoning behind the change?

Why would you do this, when you previously announced all characters would go to Elysium?

There are people who quit on ZK and are "waiting on the merge" to come back. A lot of them will probably not realize this and end up screwed and stuck on anathema.

Isn't zeth'Kur further in the progress than Elysium? Throwing them characters in there would change alot since they are better geared? or what am i missing?

This should -not- happen that way. Especially when you previously mentioned that characters will automatically transfer to elysium.

Besides zethkur exists as an extension of Elysium. The majority does indeed want to be moved to Elysium and not to some server where everyone is already far ahead.

Will there be any restrictions on how many items you can bring to the others realms? And any level requirements to pick up the "quests"?

Since most of us have bank chars. Or is this not decided yet?

It is stated transfers will not occur until the server closes June 21st.  Does this mean upon selecting the quest for the realm and completing it the player will remain on zk until the 21st or are you transferred upon completion of the quest?  Thanks.

We're on the same timeline, released 6 days after Elysium. We've had 0 raid ID resets, and tiny PvP brackets. So no, we're not more progressed than them, in any way.
