The Truth about <Entropy>

Recommended Posts

The guild leader of <Entropy> was once an officer of <Against All Odds> and he is a toxic person that will be extremely likely to run a corrupt loot council. When he was raid leader of <Against All Odds> he always reserved stuff from guildies, made up lies about people that he didn't like, and had his clique constantly cause drama. He also tried to get his buddy some items for no DKP charge when we had set prices with our system. He does not care about a community, only to seize power.

Whilst browsing through the PvE threads with the release of BWL, I came along this thread. I am -however strange it might sound- not surprised by this.

I remember attending AAO's first MC raid as a guild, with me being the only pug. They asked me to go fury dps and tank OT on Garr/Sulfurion which wasn't any problem for me at the time. When I discussed loot rules with Garun and Milkabull, they told me T1 was reserved to tank, since I was joining as fury, I would only be eligible on dps gear (which, again, was perfectly fine with me).

However when the raid eventually started and I got invited, Skankunt approached me. I was being informed that he was an officer so I took his opinion as serious as other leadership. Whilst just making sure he was aware of the loot rules that were being discussed with Garun and Milkabull earlier, we ended up having the following conversation:

Against_All_Odds1.jpg

Against_All_Odds2.jpg

Against_All_Odds3.jpg

Against_All_Odds4.jpg

Against_All_Odds5.jpg

I saved these screenshots while the conversation took place during the raid. Luckily, nothing I could use dropped for me, so I didn't have to leak any of these screenshots to expose Skankunt before. However with him being GM of Entropy atm, I didn't doubt a second to let the whole server know that this guy is not to be trusted. If he promised you a fair loot council, you might aswell /gquit now imo.

Anyone is free to whisper me in game for more referrals of how this guy is making 39 other people waste their time for his own purpose.

I swear that guy is like a rancid onion. Every rotten lair you peel away you find an even more rotten one underneath. I had NO IDEA he said this about loot to you as I was never once told about this. Also for those of you that don't know who Milkabull is, he's the raid leader that Skankunt forced out of his position by constantly slinging mud at him. I blame myself for not removing him sooner as I made the mistake of trusting Skank's word.

Well it's actually more like 30-35 wasting their time as he will gear up his buddies as well, but your point still stands.

I like how he says you're not loot banned and then proceeds to explain that you have a 2.5% of getting an item if it drops for your class and is not a tank item.  Assuming in a given raid night you have a 50/50 chance of an item dropping that you want you'd have about a 1% chance in a given raid of getting loot.  How Skankunt thinks that's legit is beyond me.

loot council IMO is still best, it's self-correcting for reasons exactly like this.  if your loot council is unfair or corrupt, people will leave your shitty guild because of your fucked up system.

Best case scenario, your loot council is a small group of experts in gear progression (IE, what's bis for which class and for how long), and attendance and performance are properly tracked, seniority and merit are both taken into account, and the loot decisions are talked about before raid so that everyone has a pretty good idea of who is getting what before any bosses are even killed, loot council is the smoothest, fastest, and fairest system you can have.

And then you have a bunch of shit like this thread! LOL

This thread is NOT to bash Loot Council as it can be the best system if done right, but it's our duty to warn our fellow players about a corrupt one as soon as we know about it.

Population based rolls seems fair to me... your 1/40th of the raid, you get 1/40th shot on gear. But that's plenty restriction on its own. Reserving tank gear means warrior lootlock for all intensive purposes anyway. But if that weapon drops, and they really do let you roll on it, you should have a x/40 chance, however many your group is.

ya trust pre to have a fuckin distorted idea of how fair loot distribution works. (for anyone that doesn't know he famously ninja'd a chromatic carapace and had a juicy reddit thread trying to defend himself, no remorse)

if a raid brings 39 people and 1 pug tank, and they have 2 tanks of their own, but they need a third tank so badly they pug a guy, he should get fair roll on any tank gear vs the other tanks.  1/3 chance to win.  if you want to fuck him out of loot by making him roll vs 39 other people, including all the dps, all the healers, for TANK LOOT, then why the hell are you pugging in the first place, just run with 39 of your guildmates you don't need a full 40 for MC.

It's not a loot council if all your buddies are in the loot council.

I really don't want to be seen bashing these guys. in fact, I might even regret making this post.

But I spent alot of time putting effort into <AAO>, and there were plenty more players who were around for longer than I was, who put in far more effort than I ever did.

<AAO> was a beautiful thing, a great community. I am of the honest opinion that there were a group of people that didn't want to see it fruit into anything better than what it was . So much greed, so overwhelming they ruined it for everyone.

The saddest thing was to see that a lot of the members just followed on to <Entropy>. These are players who I'd class as; perhaps not so much hardcore, not on all the time etc. Not to discredit them, everyone has their own life, you don't have to play WoW all the time to be valued members (without them we'd be nothing, obviously), worth as much as the next guy equally and all the same.

The demise of <AAO> has almost killed Elysium as a whole for me. All i wanted to do was play vidya gaems and have fun & try to be good. Pretty sure in terms of progression <AAO> did pretty alright.

I think the funniest thing, which really raised the alarm bells for me was when Skankhunt ask our GM (in a full raid discord) to step down from his position. Like really, who the fuck will step down for their own guild. Nigga built that shit from the ground up.

At the same time our priest class lead was complained about to the point she stepped down. TO THIS DAY, UNTIL THE DEMISE OF <AAO> NO OTHER PRIEST EVER STEPPED UP TO DO HER JOB ANY BETTER.  (healing assigns, specs etc)

Our previous raid lead was also made to step down for telling the raid to "shut the fuck up" in discord during DOMO progression (we got the kill that very day). Skank, on several raids told everyone to STFU in discord. but all of a sudden it was acceptable.

You should have made <Entropy> 3 fucking months ago if you weren't happy in <AAO>

Just damn man, damn. I was so bumbed out. I came back from a weeks work away from my computer to find out, what we knew was going to happen for so long. Except we couldn't accept it. We all wanted to be in <AAO>.

I mean really, so many of us, AGAINST ALL ODDS...  *cough* wanted it to work.

Well Pre, you will get along just great with Skankunt as you are both just as fair with loot.

But then he might not have as many people to ninja lo... I mean raid with.

Let this post be a warning to be cautious of this shit especially among officers.
