See you in 2 weeks!

Oh wow. I wonder what you could do when it's not just a "quick" job. That's pretty sweet.

There are 7 days in a week, you can do the conversions as needed.

He is probably talking about 2-3 days instead of 2-3 weeks ;)

Please you have to start the fresh sever also, not weeks after.
Most people are on holidays now december 16-18th to maybe 10-16th of januari, and most of us new players want to play on a fresh server.

So please don't wait to long for the start of fresh server..

on Nostalrius PvP only 1/3 were lvl 60 so this is not OLD server. and how many of 60 got good raid epic gear?

play on it if you don't want to wait there is more than plenty of players on low levels

That's just the thing with newcomers.    They assume.

The "old" Nostalrius PvP server, was in great condition - and it shall remain so, even if it takes a healthy hit.

The population is widely spread across the entire levelling board - and will continue to be so.   There are many speculations, as to why they wish to open a new server, but one of the main reasons, is to be able to support the large population.

All the gossip of the "old" Nostalrius PvP server dying, when the new Elysium PvP server is opening - is nothing but retail fanboi talk.    They have no idea, what it was like on this server.

Also - the "old" Nostalrius PvP server isn't -that- old.   It has years of progress ahead of it yet.  And it shall remain healthy in all this time.

I have no doubt of this.

The issue of a big population, which was highlighted by Alexensual is lags and queues on login.

He thinks of oppenning all 3 servers at the same time. It allows to distribute population on 3 servers.

Just a normal person with his own opinions, and you put him on this superficial pedestal because......?

Love what you do. But what will make this work better then Nostalrius? Why won't just Blizzard shut this server down as well?

Because Blizzard never shut down the first Nost down per se. They sent a C&D letter, which most pservers ignore, but Nost chose not to.

God Bless the Nost devs, they wanted to help show Blizzard the light.   That there is a still a sizable community and a demand for legacy content.   So they played by the rules, engaged with the company directly and advocated for our community.    Keep in mind, I don't mean 'our community' by just saying Nost itself.  I mean Vanilla players in their mass.

Bigger and better than ever. The hype is real, the hype is huge. This is what you get Blizz, this shows that this community can't be killed. Good work everyone.

Spot on mate! If they had simply ignored Blizz, then no progress would have been made. I am sure we all would 'prefer' if Blizz themselves ran legacy servers and pay for it too. Until then, we are here, so we must support the guys willing to run this project for us :)
