Our population will grow

I'm sure that most of you are aware, but some are not, and this is also for people who hear of this project and come to this forum out of curiosity.

 

Although we will be the last server to open, we will be the only PvE server available. Our server is still young, BWL isnt open yet. So even if only 1/3 of the orginal player force returns. It WILL rise from new players who tried the fresh PvP server and just couldnt handle how crazy it is going to be lol.

 

And don't forget, not every new player that will join our server has heard of it already. People who hear about the project after all the servers are open will be able to choose from all 3, and a lot of people from this demographic will come to the PvE server as they don't have to wait for it to open.

 

So please, if things look gloomy on day 1 of opening, please dont run to the fresh PvP server, stay strong! our server will bounce back with a vengence.

I have no doubt the PvE server is gonna be just fine. There is literally zero competition out there and more than enough people will switch over to PvE once they realize how frustrating a large-pop PvP server can be.

It will be fine.. Even with people leaving I know there is a solid amount of people returning. And lets just think about it for a second.. It's the only PvE server. Not everyone wants to be harassed. Lots of people will join it np

I agree and tbh I think the old PvP server has a higher risk of becoming "dead". It's gonna be very interesting to see where the populations land a month or two after all servers have been released.

We need a lot more guilds formed or resurrected.  We're gonna get It big in the beginning and im guessing the 300 member cap is still going to be there.  A lot of us were already in the 250+ range with constantly needing to kick people for an ever decreasing inactivity range.

 

The thing is, when we get back we can't start kicking for awhile, because we won't know for sure who is coming back and who isn't.

I am posting her because I thought it was a relevant. I could possibly be a person who would make the server grow. I am new to the private server scene but when I played vanilla I played on a PVP server and did very well going almost all through Naxx. What can you guys tell me who have played on the PVE realm for nost. Is the community different in anyway? It seems to me like most of the people who play on the PVP server are all very young. I am looking for a more mature playing experience but I do enjoy pvp.

Can't make any generalizations about player base that are necessarily true.  The fact is, the servers are just different by nature because of the pvp flag.  So people act differently due to mechanics.  People tend to be a more helpful and compassionate because there is no incentive to be otherwise on a PvE server.  If someone's main interest is jumping people in world pvp, they will be lonely and discouraged on a PvE server.  I can say if you need PvP rankings, you can rank just as effectively, sometimes more effectively on PvE.  if you're interested in raiding only, you won't lose time and effort to battles at instance entrances or waiting for stragglers that cannot make it anywhere near the entrance due to ganking.  What I do miss, is organized world pvp on pve servers, that's not the same at all.  It's a trade off between the possibility of an exciting encounter at every turn and being able to reliably get stuff done.

My group of friends and I were only playing on Nost PVE for two weeks when it shut down. We loved it so much that we are bringing our guildmates  that have never played on a private server before. Many people only found out about Nost after it was shut down and wished they had known earlier. I hope those people find there way here.

i stumbled on this place almost by accident and I for sure will be joining the PVE realm when it opens... played Vanilla but didnt get to lvl 60 before we got shunted to outland. so much content for me to play (and may be get my son on too)

I've decided to go to the PvE server and not the fresh PvP. I played Nost PvP and retail, but have been playing ESO since Nost went down. I've heard a lot of people say that this server is relatively new. How new is it? Time to go over to the guild recruitment forums and find a guild. If you guys have any recommendations, let me know! I'm in the US and will roll either faction.

I'll be doing a fresh start on the pve server tomorrow, along with one RL friend.  PLayed WoW from early 2005-2010.  

 

Tried Kronos pvp server, and it's not for me.  I like doing battlegrounds, particular when on voice comms with guildmates, but I don't get much of a thrill out of haunting low level zones smashing lowbies or getting a group of people together to gank stragglers outside MC.

Never heard of Nos until it was shutdown. Never played a private server either. Always assumed they would be shite or too low pop.

I'll be rolling on PvE. Long time Warcraft fan, been playing since release and was a massive fan of vanilla raiding/PvP, fancy going back to the start of it all as Legion is a bit meh.
