Xom 8 Report post Posted December 5, 2016 Proven by what ? "Infinite mana" , nice one because there is no "infinite mana" in Game so the proof was based on "words" ignoring facts and numbers. But yeah we saw who is the joke in Nost forums "the CF legionaries", who got rekt by evidence and monolithic s.hit posters around you talking about Spriests today . /Kind regards Killerduki Holy hell dude... you come into a thread asking for people to treat eachother better.... And you then call people s.hit posters? What is wrong with you? Your "Debate" has been closed and concluded for over a decade. Stop wasting your time on this фекал. Guest Report post Posted December 5, 2016 Hey there, I'm not %100 certain on who you're talking about - but I think that the overall message of this post is to try and be a benefit to the community, rather than add to its salt level. A lot of people replied saying "Its the internet brah, stop being so sensitive". I think that only shows the ignorance of the long term, damaging effect this type of attitude can have on a community. So props to you for posting your concern. As for the person being trolled so much, my first question is: What did they do to deserve so much hate? So I rolled horde on the last stress-test here today. And from the second I was in game to the second the test was over I saw a lot of unnecessary hate. It all seemed to be focused one player/streamer in particular. (I know most of you probably know who that player is). I have to admit, I've been vocal on forums about how I'm not particularly a fan of theirs, but today was a real eye-opener for me. Under NO circumstances should a person have to endure such unrelenting negativity focused at them. It made me instantly regret my own behavior on the forums. We all have our issues and obstacles in life, coming to play a game, or making videos or streaming games for an escape should not be one of those obstacles. It's only a game, we shouldn't attack a person for how they choose to play it. Even with thick skin some of the things said can really have an effect on someone, it has to enter the psyche on some level. I felt ashamed as I sat there and watched the chat and I don't know why it took this to reinforce what should I should have acted on all along, and that's positivty and accceptance. (Again this is only a game, why try to intentionally hurt someone's feelings?)To the player I'm talking about, I genuinely apologize for being an попа.Anyways, with that I'll get off my soapbox.

Jante 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2016 It is indeed utterly saddening to see how people can behave on the Internet. The mind hive is a scary thing - if you think streamers have it bad, then think of the actual people behind the Nostalrius/Elysium project at various points in time, such as Nostalrius' closure, the time between the comeback announcement INCLUDING the comeback announcement, and even today. I have always been awestruck by how people would just spit hatred on others behind an anonymous mask, but when this comes to regard people behind a free DIY project, then this condition rears its most grotesque face. I mean, even if the project proves to be an utter disaster (touch wood), what possible moral justification can one have for shitting on it and the people who provide it, when the latter people are doing so simply out of the goodness of their hearts, and sometimes even at a personal material and psychological cost? Sadly, I don't think that this will stop anytime soon, because it is a manifestation of a wider social issue: we find ourselves amidst an aberrantly individualistic society, where people operate under a consumer/competitor mentality: when found behind the anonymous mask and for lack of social or other punishment, they will just lash out to gain some superficial and momentary satisfaction, and they will demand from others as if these others were in their service. Unfortunately, this kind of consciousness runs deep and in an extremely penetrating manner. Not only that but it is also being promoted and advantaged, especially in the West, since it is perceived to boost human productivity. Bravo for the thread though, it creates initiative to think these things through and makes a necessary start to potentially changing them.

Rayaleith 2 Report post Posted December 5, 2016 The abuse against the said streamer is actually the average WoW players method of expressing endearment. The specific streamer says that other streamers that like Legion are "paid by Blizzard". He also talk about legion while he is an LFG hero with very little experience on Mythic+ either. He also says legion sucks because there is nothing to grind for but he cries that he actually has to grind to get a legendary... Anyway cannot say that I feel bad for him THAT much
Mozz 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2016 People will quickly figure out they can't be попа hats. Why? Because it's not retail, where you have a certain level of anonymity. Nobody will group with them, nobody will take them into their guild, nobody will give them a raid spot. You will get blacklisted very very quickly.. PvE server was pretty good to be fair mind. windslav 2 Report post Posted December 6, 2016 Well that other new wow server I'm considering sure does have way nicer people on the forums. Saying that every community has assholes is a little bit insincere. Some communities are easy for an asshole to latch and feed on, and some are not. Who's the youtuber in question, by the way?

Docholy 4 Report post Posted December 6, 2016 Most Wow tubers with over 150k subs is given some level of sponsorship by Blizzard. This is why you see so many of them at every single expac talk about how great the next round of expacs will be. They get paid per video and they get nice bonuses during Holidays, just look at tubers history man. Around holidays they all turn into hardcore Blizzard lovers. I dontknow about Alex since I'v only seen him stream once. Nver seen him on youtube. Asmongold is the best example of this. How does some late 30's man living in his parents basement get by? The 200k subs? Not likely, its the small yet steady income Blizzard offers.

Alexensual 12 Report post Posted December 6, 2016 (edited) I'm assuming this is about me, if not I feel like throwing my thoughts out there on this. The toxicity can of course get pretty bad (a lot of it the public hasn't really seen), but of course that comes with being a streamer. It doesn't really bother me much. In fact, I find half the stuff actually pretty funny. The guild names people come up with like <ALEXENSUAL you will die> is hilarious and I think it's quite funny. You grow a thick skin when you see stuff thrown at you a lot. At the end of the day, we're all behind the computer screens and I think being WoW-Veterans we've seen how crazy the internet can be over the last 10-12 years. Seeing the spam in chat doesn't bother me personally, but it bothers me due to the fact it's interrupting other players. The people you see spammig in chats like on the stress test are only doing because they can get away with it (for now) and can't do it in the stream chat. I'm not going to be making the chat visible on stream so this should limit a lot of spam, but there's only so much I can do. People will of course spam, but that's up to the GMs to deal with that and I think they'll do a good job. Edited December 6, 2016 by Alexensual
Docholy 4 Report post Posted December 6, 2016 (edited) Toxicity is something people need to deal with, would be nice it was removed but a free server is free to all. The basket of deplorables comes out to play. If the OP or others can't deal, I'm sorry to say but retail is that way. <Points to the fetid somehow walking corpse that is Legion.> Edited December 6, 2016 by Docholy

Rayaleith 2 Report post Posted December 6, 2016 you clearly dont understand any of the points he has ever made LOL. i dont like the guy a whole lot but i cant just sit by and watch as someone attempts to spread such bullshit and misinformation about the guy. I'm sorry but you literally don't know what you are talking about. there are very valid criticisms of the guys views but these are not it. nor is anyone deserving of the фекал that he has been getting. I will not talk about any specific person more. I don't know him (have nothing against him) and this thread is not for one person only. But stop telling me I don't know what I am talking about. Was there when he said these things, we all know that he did not progress to the current game at all etc. Nothing more on this.

Are you even serious? I have no intention of sinking dozens of hours into a game that might or might not be fun some time later on. I tried it, it tasted like crap, I assumed it really is crap and moved on to games that aren't crap. You really don't have to be forced to eat a turd before you're allowed to claim that it's not chocolate.

If you have not raided, have not done Mythic+ and the only thing you do is missions in your class halls and some world quests, what do you expect? Of course you can do whatever you want but I am really curious to point me what will do at vanilla as well, when you clear your raids in first day of each new reset. PvP? Good you do that in every expansion as well. Farm for gold? Great you do that in every expansion as well. What else? I want to know your definition of fun on this game.
