It's pathetic. I have several twinks in all kinds of brackets. If you need an xp stop you're doing things terribly wrong.

that will do you no harm or handicap you in any way?

 

.stopxp is a great feature which gives you the possibility to do

whatever you want to do with your twink without having to be afraid

of gaining exp.

 

It´s simple - it´s good - there is not a single argument against it.

Half the challenge of twinking is the foresight for knowing what you need and getting it before you get to the level that you want to. And yes that may even include exploring the entire coast of STV before target level if you want to get the fishing hat. Stopxp is another one of those quality of life improvements that shouldn't be made because it doesn't need to be because it isn't vanilla.

i have the same opinion like taladril. the care on your exp is a huge factor of twink life. sure it would be fun if you are playing your twink chars a lot and if you could do instance runs just for fun... but id prefer the need to care on my exp. so its more special if you see a well done pvp twink.

Dont wanna sound rude here, but if you love twinking, you should know that planning your way ahead is a major part of creating a twink. Which quests can you do, which items will you get when, what lvl will you need to do X or Y... Its not simply lvling up to 19 and turning your xp off.

Part of the beauty of making a twink is the intricate planning needed. Begone to retail if you dont like it.

 

Keep vanilla pure. Modifications to make it a "fun" server is a rot that will fester.

The thing is, it was exactly that simple on Valkyrie servers i guess.

That´s why they had this feature advertised on this website before the maintenance about 1 week ago.

 

A big fat - "Hey guys we have this .stopxp on/off feature which is awesome for twinks!"

 

Now they reworked the page and it vanished. 

So i asked myself: Do you guys plan to implement that to the new servers?

 

I mean this is still the Elysium/Valkyrie team mixed with Nost members setting up 3 servers

running on the Nostalrius core.

I guess they are definitely able to decide if they want this .stopxp feature or not.

 

For me personally i love doing low-level bgs. 

You guys seem to enjoy the challenge of not getting too much exps while setting up your twink.

I don´t need that thrill but that´s fine.

 

Blizzlike or not - lowlevel pvp was never planned back in the old days.

It was about having a journey to 60 and starting to raid.

 

Valkyrie imo did the right thing bringing this feature into the game.

 

It is really interesting that asking about it makes some people angry.

Not everything which was made by Blizz devs in the old days was brilliant.

That´s why they brought tons of minor and major patches into the game.

 

A short blue yes or no and the question would be answered.

That´s a good point dude. It would help gaining popularity for 19,29,39.

and it would be possible to do pve content in lvl 19 guilds. or lvl 1 twinks would be a thing.

during mop i twinked lvl 20/24 hardcore.

my 24 rogue had 564 times killed gnomeregan endboss just to get the last item i needed. a ring with 9 agi (mine had 8 agi)

still missing this 1 agi, it never dropped

I think not having the option to freeze xp kills the world pvp for twinks.

No it just means if you wanna do world pvp then you need to explore those areas first. if you are worried about people around you killing wildlife then don't group with people who aren't twinks, make it a raid, add a 60 so that the effect is lower, or don't group with idiots. It's very easy to not get xp if you plan it out.

Twinks did world pvp all the freaking time on Nostalrius PvP.

True dude, that is exactly what we twinks all did.

 

I just cannot say that this is the part of creating a twink that i really enjoyed. It honestly sucks.

 

I mean the whole issue is not a weird new idea, it actually existed right here.

 

The .stopxp command could be found on this website 2 weeks ago.
