idk how much you pvp, but if you did it enough you would know that stv is the centre for lvl 60 brawls. lowbies there are just collateral damage, if i see them throwing heals on the lvl 60 I'm trying to take out they will die also.

I'm thinking ya didnt read what you just quoted me for.  But ya I don't go to STV to pick on lowbies.  I pick fights with other 60s that are dong that : )

First day will be a nightmare for completing quests or killing anything, therefore I will:

- explore the world for xp and flightpaths.

- pick up herbalism+skinning. Going to pick herbs and skin the mobs people kill.

Just a public service announcement:  If you plan on just ganking the level 20+ lowbie areas and camping quest givers, a forced bad experience from new players may turn them away.    Effectively lowering your end-game player flow.

As for me I plan to make a new toon on the PvE server and try and remember classic wow as never played on Nost and its been so so many years. Then while playing trying to decide if I'll stay on Nost PvE or go to the Fresh PvP server. I'm a PvE player and only really liked PvP in the BGs in classic although for sometime in classic I was on a pvp server but didn't enjoy the constant ganking and gank squads.

 

On a note of mods, I thought they weren't being allowed or am I getting things mixed up on what was ban-able in my old age? If mods are allowed where would one find mods compatible with classic?

Anything besides addons in terms of mods is most likely prohibited.

Personnaly, I just had the leather leggins of Rig wars (a quest in Gnomer) and my mount when the server shut down. I hope I will still have those items. It depends if they saved the database before the 6 april or after...Its hard to find a group who wants to do Gnomer on horde side.

Stroll through Orgrimmar and Durotar for a while. If there's something interesting happening, like IF raid, I might join that. Otherwise I'll log onto my mage and level it in DM east, which is what I was doing eight months ago when Nostalrius' shutdown was announced.

 

Some people mention that they'll adjust their addons, but I don't think it'll be necessary. All the account and character-specific addon settings are stored in the WoW-folder on your computer. If your Elysium account is the same as your Nostalrius account I think the addons should load as if nothing has changed. And if the account names are different, I think you only have to change the names of the folders. Check your WTF folder. If you've removed or changed your vanilla WoW folder however, you're out of luck (
