when are enough players enough?

On the Elysium server, there are 10+ per 1 mob in the question zones. I spend about 30% of my time waiting for respawns. Anyone else finding this tedious? i mean the hype aint as strong as in the beginning, but i for one am finding it discouraging.

Rolling on the new server, brings it down i suppose, but what happens what that server gets overrun with people?

Am i alone in this, and do people think its fine to sit and wait for respawns? They did increase the dynamic spawn timer at some point, but it was quicky reverted again, as to why? i have no idea..

vanilla simply wasnt made for 10k+ ppl.

imo the 11-12k cap simply is too high and should be lowered to 5-7k for quality reasons.

but for as long as are realms with a lower pop than yours, you shouldnt complain but change

Agree, or they should increase the dynamic respawn to match it.

Dont think i am complaining as much as asking for other people take on the matter? but there is a fix to it, increase dynamic respawn aligned with the zones population. Or as you said i could reroll on a less populated server. But what happens when that gets overcrowded?

This problem has already been adressed by the staff and resulted in opening a twin server which is Zeth'Kur. As I am writing this, there are 11k players on Elysium and 4k on Zeth'Kur. I don't really think both can reach 10k population. If I wanted to start fresh, I would go Zeth'Kur.

In my experience dynamic respawns work fine, haven't had an issue with spawns on Elysium, other than not being able to loot a corpse before it despawns (looting in the middle of a fight is really shit)

I would argue they should tone it down a bit, if you're in a busy area you have mobs spawning left right and centre of you and you can never get out of combat lol.

the more player play the more fun it is. A few quests you cant do cause there are too many players fighting for very few mobs with a long respawntime, for example the sceleton kill quest in duskwood. But thats really the exception. But then you  just skip it and move on?

You can also play as mentioned on Zeth'kur.

The one thing I have an issue with: The mobs de-spawn too quickly. If you're fighting multiple mobs then you're going to lose some loot because the mob you killed about 5 seconds ago just de-spawned.

This is the most annoying thing. Well, this and having some mobs spawn so fast you can't get away from them and die repeatedly. I'M LOOKING AT YOU FARGODEEP MINE... That place is like a roach motel for players. 

Noobs check in, but they don't check out.

For you its not a good experience. For you dude. If you dont have fun farming herbs and minerals then just buy them out of ah with money you got from something you enjoy more.

this problem gets earsed when you get past lvl 10-15... And its not that big of a deal. 1-2 diying, whats the problem?! Or take it as opportunity to grp with some pll

I think kids these days get nervous if they can't see a few other people around them at all times. They seem to want enough density so they never have to feel alone.

I was grouped. It doesn't matter because once you step in there, you don't get any down time. Casters will go oom, if you have a healer they will be oom in no time, and everyone dies anyway. Not THAT big a deal, but the spawns are definitely waaay too fast. 

On the bright side, it's hilarious watching someone running out of the tunnel with 9 angry kobolds on their tail.

if you truly want to experience the vanilla feeling, you cannot support the 10k+ cap

if you worry about too few BGs poppin, support the release of more realms and  cross realm battlegrounds instead

I completely agree with this. 

 

I can't imagine 12,000 people. 

 

5k is comfortable.
