Why the population is decreasing so fast?

Recommended Posts

I guess 4 realms and population spread. On Anathema were like 10-12k + que when there were 2 realms, now is 7-8k. At least, there is less lag.

There is not even queue in Elysium guys

What is really going on?

Mostly I think there are now three PvP servers, including two new ones that are just starting out in the patch progression. And the early WoW patch progression can be fun. Anathema is sort of stagnant right now, we were stuck on 1.8 for a few months on Nost last year, ad many of the same characters are now in the same place with an uncertain future, now that Elysium has apparently parted ways with Nostalrius.

I miss when everyone was on one big realm, except for the lag...the lag sucked ofc.

Most likely all casuals got tired, they came here to try vanilla out and realized it's way too hardcore for them, they expected full epic in a bag from RDF but all they got was 17x Deadmines runs for 1 drop and to salt the injury they had to walk back and fourth to the dungeon.

Launch hype going down.

PvE server used to hit 6k player cap every single day

Now it barely reaches 4.5k every day.

Found the casual.

I´m Swedish, I prefer being assosciated with farmers. Also I didn't mean you had to put your whole life into it you retard. All I meant was the players used to retail WoW standards wasn't expecting such hard work and they didn't like it.

Hard work?  It's the grindiest version of the game but it's also the easiest mechanic wise.  It's not hard at all.  You can raid one or two nights a week for a couple hours and be done for the week.

What you just said is what 25% if not more of what people wasn't expecting coming here. They didn't expect to farm a certain location for hours to get a certain thing nor using the same spell all those hours. You can't raid if you don't overcome the "boring" part. Prove my point more.

Almost everyone playing now played vanilla retail.  It's not surprising to anyone.  It's Grindy but boring and easy raid mechanics

I think it's normal, there are still a ton of people playing.

Only fear if you are on Zeth'Kur, it will probably die before too long

The hype died down and the nost debacle happened. But we still seem to get queue in the weekends. Plus if ZethKur was not around and those players were to play Elysium there would be small queues possibly

I don't know.
The PvE realm seems crowded with people to me. at least in westfall and Duskwood.

And btw,
I'm a casual and I find vanilla really fun, like I didn't have in retail for long years (and yep, I already died like 30+ times till lv23, and only got 1 drop from 2 DM runs :-p)

Don't mix "casual" - one that can't play but few hours here and there (but may wish that the hours he or she does play will be challanging and not a kidfest), with the retail spoiled and entitled kids that just wish for "Da cool lootz" without effort...

A few things happened.

  • Nostalrius' selling out to Blizzard, telling Elysium to do the same. Private server community confidence lost.
  • Drop in confidence due to exploits
  • More servers available
  • Hype fades. Fact of life.

There are so many people on the PvE server, kinda nice finaly made it to 60 so its a plus when making groups etc, but the droves of people near christmas and newyears was insane.

Well the biggest reason is 1:zeth'kur 2: they made afkers get kicked, remember 30%+ people where just afking making the que longer.
