Why is balance druid so worse?

Basic misconceptions in this thread:

- combat ress is something that you plan to use in your raids (you should aim for not needing to use it)

- only owls are good for combat ress (healing druids can do it, too)

- crit aura is better than taking a proper dps class instead of a druids

- the whole raid should wait for our special snowflake moonkin to regenerate mana after each mob and waste buffs like pi and innervate on the snowflake, which would have a greater effect on other classes.

- the raid is formed to make the moonkin work instead of forming the player to make the raid.

Again, moonkin is fun and in short fights it can do substential amounts of dps, but its general performance is lowered by mana inefficiency.

Basic misconception of this post:

- You shouldn't plan for when shit hits the fan (if your raid clears everything on the first run congrats)

- You can have an infinite amount of dedicated healers (druids in this particular case)

- We are saying that the crit aura is the singular reason for consideration

- That the sole point of a druid is an innervate to keep another mana user from drinking once every few minutes between trash pulls.

- WoW isn't a game full of people and is instead filled with robot min/maxers that don't struggle filling raid slots with dedicated people willing to play classes they don't enjoy simply to appease others sense of entitlement.

- Mages get an extra pot so they don't have mana problems

- Warlocks aren't the cause of healers wanting the innervate

- Moonkin is worthless because they lack some of the mana mages and warlocks are able to tap into.

U could go for a balance/heart of the wild spec which gives u a ton of mana probably biggest mana in the entire game but u have to sacrifice a few talents.

Spend 30 talent points in Feral to get +20% intellect for use by Starfire/Moonfire/Wrath?  Ummm ... I'd much rather spend 23 talent points in Balance to get Moonglow, actually, especially since you can't have both Heart of the Wild and Moonglow in the same spec (unless you go 23/28/0 which makes no sense to do whatsoever).  Better choice than spending 30 talent points in the Feral tree to be a smarter spellcaster is ... to spend 13 talent points in the Restoration tree to get Improved Mark of the Wild and Reflection.  Way More Better-ah™ for a Moonkin Balance Druid than going for Mark of the Wild 26-30 talent points deep in Feral given the tradeoffs involved.
