I did not want to take someones opinion.

I just was asking for a little bit more respect, confidence and graditude towards the dev-team

People arent pissed cause the fresh servers arent being released at the same time, any one who read the updates knew that, however if the devs had time to put together a video for the release, many people are left wondering why they didnt take time to set a release date in stone for the fresh servers, which by all accounts (including devs) is desired by the majority.

All the players wanting a fresh start are now back at square one of this whole release 'approximately 3-4 weeks but hopefully less'. On top of this the 3-4 week wait period couldn't be at a worse time - just as most people get time off work. Its 12 days from release and already the majority of players are feeling like second class citizens simply cause most of them weren't original nost players

Looking forward to the fresh server but really wish they released it at the same time. The only real reasoning I can see is satisfying old Nost players who don't want to start fresh and are hoping for time to rebuild their servers rather then everyone hopping on the fresh train, Its also likely a backup as many of the old Nost players will logon to find many of their friends gone, doing something w/o them, or talking about going fresh so those guys have a chance to see the old Nost isn't going to be so hot and be prepared for the day 1 jump to the fresh server. If not then likely a week after *all servers* went live together the Nost guys would be flipping and start complaining as they are already a week behind and many want to be 1st.

Also thanks for releasing the pve server at the same time as the old pvp server. I went pve server so I could level through stv which was impossible on the pvp server... but we were just busy there at the moment the server shut down (yeah, we're slow, work and everything). Now we can finish that zone properly and that's more than I dared to hope for.

They didn't set a solid date because they don't have one. They are still preparing the server and making sure it is "good to go". They don't want to release a date yet because they don't know if it will take 1 week or 2 weeks or even 3-4 weeks. They will try to release it ASAP though. I imagine they will probably only give us a short 1-2 day warning before it is released though once they have things ready.

 

And as of the timing, I do agree, winter break will be over, people will be resuming work, students will be heading back to school and it will be odd, but agreed there. But as the server is not ready, I don't blame them for their choice in making it later.

 

This would be a time to remember though that even the old nost PvP, about 80% of the level cap players were still MC and pre-MC so you wouldnt have to catch up too much to be with most of the crowd.

I'm really happy about PVE realm will start in the first round. I started from lvl1 when the Nost PVE started and I had lots of fun, but I dont really wanna start over and lvl up to 60 again, especially because I have an almost 60 char on Kronos as well. I've spent long hours on nost pve to farm darnassus rep and bought the pre-av patch epic mount (without armors) and I'd really like to get it back. However if I'd find Nost PVE empty, because all the players stayed in the new fresh realm, I'd just go back to Kronos and play with the nice community there.

So it makes perfect sence to restore the old nost community first and extend it with a fresh realm later.

Anyway, if you cant wait, you can start on the PVE realm, that probably wont be overpopulated, and since you cant be ganked, you wouldnt have any disadvantage by being behind of the majority. However if you are all about pvp ... well you can still start on the nost PVP ... sure you'd be ganked by lvl60s, but being ganked is part of the fun of pvp right?

Actually, and correct me if I'm wrong, they never said *anything* about the PvE server. They said they would launch Nostalrius PVP first, and Elysium PVP afterwards. They repeatedly ignored questions about Nostalrius PVE.

 

Lots of reference to the PvE server in the AMA being released after the PvP server. =)

If I remember correctly, the old Nostalrius PvP was in the middle of the Ahn'Quiraj war efforts, so around patch 1.8 - 1.9 and the PvE server was around Blackwing Lair, so around 1.4 - 1.5 (this info is not accurate).

They have announced that the fresh PvP server will start on 1.2.

I too would love for the fresh realm to be launched first, but hey you can´t have it all. So im biding my time and will for sure hop on the pvptrain on the old server and check it out.

You realize the main point of this project is to revive Nostalrius, not to start a fresh server? 

 

I also think it's funny you're telling the "Old Nost players" to go back to retail seeing those are the players who were on the ground floor of the legacy explosion. Forget retail, I'd rather take it back to Nost. Oh, wait, we are.

 

Besides, quit your bitching, they said they'd announce the fresh start server release date this week. Stop being so demanding of people who are providing you legacy for free.

None of us want to seriously play retail right now.

The main point of this project is indeed to revive Nostalrius, the fresh server thing is only something optional they're giving us and yet so many people are here complaining about the fresh realm not being released first or about them not giving out the release date already. Really? How entitled can you get?

 

The Nost/Elysium team is doing everything for free without charging us anything, purely because they love this game and wish to make legacy servers a thing. Just because you will have to wait maybe 3 weeks more, you're crying like a kid? I'm not really sure how to comment that.

Your memory is absolutely lousy. If you don't know, it would be better to not speak up. Old nost has bwl open. AQ war effort was coming soon but had not been released. PVE server, AV just came out, no BWL yet.

If anything I'd vote AGAINST a fresh server and instead continue with the 2 Nost servers, but clearly there are people who want it so you don't see me out here campaigning against it. I'm thankful the staff of Nost and Elysium are going through the time, work, and potential trouble just to restore our characters.

 

It's like the Superbowl got cancelled at half time and instead of choosing to finish the game with the exact same setup people want to start the whole season over. I get it if you missed out on Nostalrius and feel left out, but remember if there was no Nostalrius and no Nost players who fought for legacy there wouldn't even be a fresh server coming.

 

I get you're excited for a fresh start, but come on, man.
