Let's mention too that there are also people who nolifed their way throught Nostalrius, like me, but still prefer to roll a new one on fresh server.

There is nothing discuss about. Some people like to level up and all other staff that they do with new character. For people like you game starts only with 60 and pvp/raids. It is about tastes, and yours are not better than others.

I have a 59 on the pve realm. Was planning to reroll on the fresh. But now that pve come out first, There is no need to reroll

What journey? Everybody rushes to 60 no matter what. We already had the actual journey in 2004-06. Everyone who isn't a casual knows that leveling is something to just get out of the way. 

 

Bringing up retail is not an argument. Nobody wants that dog poo poo.

Many of you talk about it like its an flawless epic journey that you will remember for all your life everytime you do it. Maybe the first time, but on my way to my 4th 60 on nost, its not that epic anymore...you get used to it after doing the same thing over and over. So yes, in a sense i'm so used to it that it is a waste of time.

I will probably level a new one on fresh anyways, so it doesnt matter much to me.

With the 180 turn they took on this xpac, i gladly give them money, because that's the only motivation they got. If you think they're going in the right direction, you give them money. I intend to stay objective on this matter, unless it's required in the nost starter pack to hate blizz

Vanilla isn't coming back, it will only stay in the private server form. And i'm going to play both, since they're very different games.

Not at all. We are not demanding the fresh server to be open before the nost pvp, but is it so bad to have a discussion about a possible earlier release than what is expected? Consider the fact that there hasn't been an announcement on when. Furthermore this particular post adresses the issue of a high population community that may be able to accomodate all 3 servers.

 

We don't think we are entitled to the fresh server. On the other hand, the ones that are demanding stuff is you, by telling us that we can't even talk about it.

Leveling is fun, it's an unique journey. But like everything else in life, doing it to often (like i do) will make you burn out, hence it's not that funny anymore

Don't expect everyone to be in your boat, i believe the game starts at 60, but it doesn't mean that i can't enjoy leveling either

 

Labeling people by putting them in crowds is also a part of the problem

Tbh the reason i don't like this old pvp server / fresh server thing is that new servers of course will take most of the new players which will end up to old server not having much new players leveling. Then in worst case old server dies before naxx opens and Nost Old Pvp players don't want to roll on the fresh server since they feel like they have been let down. They will maybe reroll to crestfall. Then Crestfall grows big and it's the best server ever and it starts to affect to Elysium fresh pvp server population and that server dies before it reaches naxxramas. And then we have again new server that opens and crestfall dies. This is the cycle that has been going on private servers for years now.

 

Nost returning and not mentioning anything about fresh pvp would have attracted huge amount of players and if that had been too much for old pvp THEN they should have announced the fresh pvp.

 

Shortening the point: New servers will always steal some players cuz jumping to the new hype project is all about this community does not staying loyal to the project they started with.

 

PS. I will continue my char progression on Nost i have done 1 -> 60 + MC for years in many fresh servers and at least in my opininon it is overrated.
