WhitePrivilege 2 Report post Posted January 13, 2017 TBC IMO was the best version of wow overall. The one problem I have with it, was it started the catering to pvpers (which is the opposite an mmo is spose to be... classes are NOT spose to be equal 1v1 in tradditional mmo's). You would play w/e class because of the role you would support with. pvp was just a bonus. In vanilla, the gear u got from raids, vs the gear u got from pvp... was more or less on the same playing fileld. (yes endgame pve was better, but took SOOO much longer to get than decent pvp gear) in TBC someone who spent so much time pve, would get wrecked by a new pvp person just because of res. it completely seperates the players into two groups. you could be out questing, in complete endgame pve gear, and someone could gank the фекал out of u because they had pvp gear... no skill required. cause you would do вау all dmg to them. for that reason alone, i would want a pve realm, world pvp in vanilla was legit, it was an easier version of EQ but stayed true to the basics. TBC was a better server for pvpers and pvers... content was better for both sides... but when mixed... imo it didnt work. drunk when writing, hope it made sense lol.
Raktae 1 Report post Posted January 13, 2017 Only if it was PvP, PvE is gay unless it's an RP server and that wouldn't happen because the community is too small here.
gotmilk0112 10 Report post Posted January 13, 2017 I really like TBC class mechanics more than vanilla, but I like vanilla content better.

ShadowLords 2 Report post Posted January 13, 2017 just give the player an option to join a separate server(BC) or to stay on the Vanilla server.
cargalia 2 Report post Posted January 13, 2017 (edited) I doubt the project will make it thru the elysium timeline with it's popularity. I'd focus thoughts on other things. Edited January 13, 2017 by cargalia

Never saw TBC server with more than 3k people/ Because there's never been a legit, well coded 1x TBC server, hence the 72yr hype/wait on Corecraft. You see how picky people are w/ 'blizzlike' on vanilla servers when they get access to a mount or some herbing that they shouldn't, no TBC project has come even close to fulfilling anything 'blizzlike'. PvE would be interesting because PvP servers suffer from an insane Horde imbalance, I wonder if much would change if a PvE realm was released. Probably not because of arena, and leveling in Outlands with as massive a population as there will be without the option of killing the other faction would be a nightmare. I'd play it though

Hybrids finally viable raid DPS, non-Warriors finally viable raid tanks, 'useless' specs like Survival more fleshed out, etc.
Applejax 2 Report post Posted January 13, 2017 Yes, but as PvP and as a progression from Vanilla and not simply a fresh launch of BC.

PVE gear gave you a huge advantage in pvp. you had to combine both to get the best results
