All want to play on fresh

Hi all! I don't quite understand why so many people want to play on fresh realm.

Most of the players that will play here they already have characters on Nostalrius. Also all existing Elysium characters will be moved to Nostalrius realm. I've read Nost forums and there all were so glad that Nost DB will be used in Elysium and that they will not lose their characters. So why many people don't want to just continue to play in good old Nostalrius realm like nothing changed?

I dont want to, im going back to my PvE server because it is practically fresh itself, BWL isnt even out on the PvE server so it still has plenty and plenty of progression left

Same here, I will play on Nost PvP.

 

These "so many" players you are talking about aren't "that many" its just the same players making hype threads over and over.

 

People are mostly waiting to play their old character again, altough a fair share will play fresh aswell.

Emmm, there are thousands of people that missed out on the hype.  They can't resurrect a toon they never made : )  Look at the guilds forum.  There's the only answer you need.  People want to experience what they never did... and that's cool.

People want to have advantages over other people. Why would I want to dedicate time on Nostalrius to catch up when I can wait for fresh server to start and have an equal playing field?

Do you not get the irony of calling somebody an entitled minority, essentially labeling yourself an entitled majority from those actions.

 

That is speculation and I really don't mind which has more.   Only if they all have enough, which they will.

 

 

People need to understand that the commonly most LOUD and in your face about these agenda pushing speculations didn't play on Nost.  The vast majorty of Nost players do not use the forums and are patiently waiting for the relaunch while keeping in touch with their guilds via their guild website forums, VoiP services, and the works.   A much larger percentage of the people that never played Nost are active on these forums and contribute to what appears to be the "majority" wanting to only do the fresh start realm.

 

Only comparison numbers I would be interested in seeing would be after 1 year of both being open.

I have 3 level 60's on Nost, but I am going to the fresh realm.

 

The reason for this is simple, I want to run a guild. This is easier to do on a server with no pre-established guilds. Pre-launch recruitment is going pretty nice so far aswell. There are also some server goals that will be easier to attain without any pre-estabished guilds on the realm.

 

I also want to play Vanilla for as long as possible, so naturally joining a server halfway through it's life isn't gona be the same as joining a fresh realm.

 

I did consider just picking up where I left off on the old PvP server, but I would need to rebuild the guild again. We will not just farm BWL again because so many of the core won't be there anymore.

Fresh server kids are the loud minority. Most of the people will be going on the old Nost PvP and all the hype was about the DATABASE returning ( aka the OLD realm ) and not so much about the code being released ( aka fresh servers ) .

 

Fresh server people are relying on a biased strawpoll which was made by a biased streamer promoting going on the fresh server meanwhile 80+ established guilds confirmed rolling on old server literally not 1 good guild is going fresh.

 

Anyways both servers will be packed and good but fresh server kids spamming " LUL old server is dead LUL " are kind of triggering me

@CatTails that is a good reason to want to go fresh.

@Nurfme the only group that you can lable as "good" that is leaving their toons behind for fresh start is <Final Exit>. Can't think of any others atm.

Just as I anticipated the merger, I too strongly believe the admins wouldn't let one of these two PVP servers ever "die" if population ever became an issue down the road. If one server or the other got this way a year or two down the road, pulling the player case under one roof.

Elysium-PVP timeline should be a bit faster than Nost-PVP since the content Will already be coded and PTR performed. BWL release took a few weeks longer than expected previously, not a lot of things got fixed with a lot of our(community) input from PTR participation.

This thread just screams entitlement.

 

I'm planning on making the server with the highest population my primary server whenever we have a clear winner. I can always switch back to the old realm and play on my priest in full epics whenever I feel like.

 

I don't see how the strawpoll isn't an accurate representation of where people want to play. Both sides will have people that didn't vote and there will be a margin of error, that's how polling works.

That's the thing, something did change. It's been almost a year since Nost was shutdown and life changes fast for everyone. I thought I lost my old character and I've moved on. It's a new server and a new journey.

I'm sorry you're mad but you're wrong.

 

Elysium will have over 10k population first day, because if Nostalrius has SOOOO many people that are just waiting in the background to play without participating in forums or release hype - then Elysium will have ten times that amount of players.

 

My entire retail WoW guild are waiting for Elysium because we don't want to compete with characters on a database that have years of advantages! You're clearly upset that your server WILL be losing population to Elysium. The staff knows Elysium will be a major attraction, which is why they are prolonging it and releasing these two server beforehand to try to negate the volume! Elysium is going to be an absolute фекал show, a much welcomed фекал show, but still a major hassle for the staff.

 

Us resilient will wait, a month, two or three for our fresh server, and when it comes you'll see most of Nostalrius leaving the server to play on the fresh server.

I don't think this is true. I want to play on the Fresh PvP server. I know a lot of my friends who spread the word because of this. Now, nothing or any news on Fresh. Really disappointing. Time for a lot who avidly supported this to go "afk"  until some mysterious fresh server release date?
