I’m here offering an olive branch to the community. I think my trolling has gone too far. I’ve been here fighting for the fresh crowd and trying to combat some of the hate toward the new blood. In doing so I’ve started to troll and try and antagonize the Nost crowd. That is not why I came to this community, I came here to enjoy the community and to dig into the Vanilla game.

 

To the Nost Vets:

Please try and refrain from flaming the newbies, try and give them answers and if you feel the desire to flame them and direct them to “retail” just don’t post, smile and think about Naxx/AV/Whatever Vanilla memory you enjoy most. Something the freshies won’t say is that we all probably wish we would have been a part of Nost, it seemed to have a magic to it that we all yearn for. But remember, these private communities are not always the easiest to find. We didn't find it then but we are here now and we are excited for the same reasons you were when you first started on Nost. We all enjoy Vanilla wow, or we wouldn’t be here. So accept us and let’s make this community great.

 

 

To the Freshies:

Try and respect the spirit and vision of what these servers are, they are meant as a time capsule of a better time in the MMO world. Quality of Life is not a term that plays here, you earn what you get and you get what you earn. Especially your community reputation. Try and respect that and I think it will serve you well, if this isn’t for you then move on. There are plenty of other private server options out there, explore them and I’m sure you can find one that fits your play style and desire.

 

I am hyped for the Fresh server but with no date I will likely roll on the Nost PvP or PvE to kill some time before Fresh, and possibly end up staying there if I get into a solid guild.

 

I hope to  fight side by side with you all in Azeroth, or against you if you decide to play Alliance.

In all honesty, even though I'm a part of the 'fresh crowd' I got a huge kick out of reading your posts. I'm not encouraging you (lol) but I am going to miss these posts.

 

Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to playing on the already established Nost realm and will probably roll characters on both Nost PVP and Elysium PVP depending on my free time available.

I played on Nost, but wasn't part of any crowd. I only got to play on it the last few months it was around, and only solo played leveling characters for the memories. This time 'round, I'm going back to the social play. 3 days and counting.

I don't think the root of any animosity is truly for the players on each side so much as how the servers are being handled. Had they just dumped all 3 on us at once and said "have at it" then people would play where they wanted and be happy, or if they weren't happy, move to a different one. 

 

With all the build up, the initial uncertainty of release dates, and then hearing the fresh would come a bit later, it's ruffled some feathers. 

 

The bottom line is that in probably about a month or so we'll all be playing happily on the server of our choice, and we'll still be a community together. It's much more fun to have the one big happy family attitude instead of the "PvE vs PvP" or "Fresh vs Old" arguments. 

People like what they like, but one thing is shared among us all. We all love this game, and that's something that can keep the community tight.

I'm guilty of not appreciating their hard work for servers and was pretty heated about the fresh server information and let loose some aggressive comments. However, I'd like to take the time to apologize if I made seem like I wasn't grateful to the team!

I thanked them with my subscription and by buying their games for years. They took a dump on my appreciation and then used my money to wipe. They'll get thanks again when they stop making garbage.
