Drakken 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2016 The devs need to release the fresh server. The majority of players are waiting to play on the fresh server and the devs realize this. While their concern that NostPvP and NostPvE will have far less people playing on them if they release the fresh server now is valid, forcing people to wait is not going to solve the problem. It is only causing the community to become more toxic by the day as the original players continue to flaunt their entitlement that their servers and desires matter more while the majority of the players twiddle their thumbs and level meaningless characters that they do not care about and waste their vacation time on servers they have no intention of playing on for the long term. Even if Elysium waits for a another month to release the fresh server there is still going to be a massive migration from the current servers. The only thing the delay is doing is to build continued animosity between the different server player bases and a negative attitude toward the devs. For every fan boy that cheers how great this is, there is a multitude of players that are becoming more and more fed up. A simple review of the discord chat at any time of the day or night will reveal the most common topic by far is when is the new server going to be released. Yes, it is a free service, but the majority of players would be more than willing to donate to start the fresh server. In fact if the devs put up a donation goal to start the fresh server that consisted of paying for two years payments on all three of servers it would most likely achieve it within the first day. So please devs stop trying to artificially split the player base into your desired configuration and release the fresh server. You made the decision to retain the characters on the older servers, but the majority of the player base should not be forced to continue waiting to play because you hope for some people to become attached to characters that they do not wish to play any more. 0 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I'd be okay waiting another month or two if it meant shedding the manchildren. They aren't really needed for a good experience. I'm a new Nostromo player, and even in vanilla I was a big reroller, I loved when a new server came out and the players/economy built up, guilds formed, started to do raids together.... I thnk many other ppl want to relive that again I created a character on the pve server and when the queue was 3000 (20+ min) then I made one on the pvp server but that also had queue later. I rather start on a new one, and we don't need to worry about it being lowpop (because when everyone starts together then it even feels overcrowded at the beginning) and maybe the queues will disappear on the "old" servers. Maybe even some non-new players would play on the new one and the already 60s and guilds will probably stay on the original. And they will not have that much queue. There are enough both old and new player. I can also wait, I just hoping for some info if there will be any and and estimated time (ETA), not just out of nowhere and also would be good to know if within a month, or more than a month. I don't care if its $1 a month as long as requires a credit card or paypal type system. Idea would be to get rid of all the whiny kiddies that just want a f2p game who would never contribute financially or even in a beneficial way to the server community but instead feel like they deserve something. FTFY You do realize that a. fresh server has the least amount of content and b. it's the same nost source code that runs on nost pvp, right? It's the holidays so they are busy with family stuff and it's no secret they are favoring old servers. The vast majority want to play on a PvP server but there's only one available, so ridiculous lag and overcrowding is unavoidable. With two PvP realms, people who don't want to suffer through that can choose the old server which will be probably half the current size when the fresh server is open. Fresh server so you can do MC/BWL for another year+(then shuts down lol) Zones will be crowed, and questing with be frustrating as hell.
