Thanks Elysium, the nost people are turning out to be huge piles of фекал and im glad you aren't going to take our home away from us because of their unrealistic expectations and desires for blizzard to release official servers. Everyone knows blizzard doesn't care about legacy and wont release legacy servers any time soon, so its crucial for players like us to have a home and im glad you are still going to provide that home for us. I am glad. Let us not start hating on Nost for having a change of heart. They didn't think the toxic retail cuckmunity were going to call us all pirates for not wanting to shell out money for crap, so how about we thank them for giving Elysium this chance to shine, to become the new Nostalrius? A new realm of adventure and попа-numbing excitement. Thank you Elysium staff for complying but not giving up. I'll also thank Nost too, because you can call them cucks all you like, but without them I don't think Elysium would already be the talk of the town. Or at least my town, but I am the only resident. Or am I?

First post to the forums. Just wanted to say thanks to the Elysium team for the mature response and for making the right decision. You've shown that there is now more interest in Legacy WoW than ever before and that interest will hopefully be what convinces Blizzard to accept the fact that people want official Legacy servers. What you're doing is the best course to unite the WoW community.

Nostalrius was nothing but another private server that got popular, it wasn't a symbol of anything.

It's obvious that Blizzard know all the Nostalrius team who went to the meeting.  How much pressure are they bringing to bear on those Nost devs to give up the rest of the people involved in the project, and furnish names of the Elysium team?

It's really easy to be disgruntled about changes, but the Nost team are real people who may face real consequences as a result of having brought vanilla to the masses.    

Let's stop blaming them, and start thanking them for paving the way for us to enjoy the vanilla experience once again.  Without them passing the Nost core to the Elysium team it would have taken a lot longer to get up and running again.

Nost used fox news-esque cherry picking by saying 10% of all accounts, which literally means every account ever created in order to make it sound like not very many people came to Elysium. This includes the alt accounts people never use, the accounts people made then abandoned, etc.

Elysium's stat is 52% of Nost's previous ACTIVE accounts, which is a much better representation of the current community population.

Here's the thing though. If Nost hadn't caved to the C&D letter, and deluded themselves into thinking Blizz would actually do anything with Legacy Servers, it would have been a non issue. 

All servers get those letters. They throw them in the garbage.

Because Blizzard doesn't and will never give a fuck about Legacy until they see how successful Nostalrius/Elysium actually is and clue in to the fact at how much money they miss out on on monthly subs.

Because here's the thing: I am never going back to retail until they bring in a legacy server, whether they shut down the server or not

What about those still having issues getting there characters?  

I for example moved my Nost account over which was apparently a success, but non of my characters are on my account. According to friends the names still exist and its just say that they are offline.
