The Devilsaur monopoly.

Recommended Posts

All I know is a well know player in our guild called the mafia out and got stalked by a lv1 constantly trying to trade him 300g afterwards.

This guild members integrity has never been called into question, and he has screenshots of the encounter.

Just fishy shit going on...

If you want your argument to gain traction, post screenshots everywhere, show the "fishy" and "corrupt" attitudes you are expressing through solid proof, not just word of mouth!

I didn't, but I was told that GMs looked at my account for gold buying etc.

My point is not that the mafia can ban people for opposing them - my point is that there are GMs that play in the mafia. It is not in their interest to party-poop.

If GMs play in the mafia they are not only avid PvPers and hardcore players but also invest substantial amounts of time in answering tickets and the like. Therefore I absolutely can understand them if they dont want to destroy pretty much a 4th battleground that contributes alot to world PvP and healthy numbers among hardcores who would go raidlog if they couldnt measure their e-peens in massive PvP for gold gain.

No GM will ever do anything to stop this cross-faction collusion. Why? Because there are GMs among the Un'goro mafia.

I have been abused verbally by the leader of the Un'goro mafia (Curatorx aka Vathdar) about how I am going to get banned for selling sets cheaper than them because, quote-on-quote "GMs are among us".

Yes I have screenshots.

That explains a lot. :-(

To have a guaranteed fixed price on a "Trade good" item in AH makes it possible to use it as an alternative currency. A currency that cannot be subjected to the specific anti-goldsellers methods that GMs use. You can't ban a goldseller for trading a few devilsaur's leathers to a random guy... and you can't ban that random guy for selling them in AH for 25 g each.

If only this community could understand this and how bad it is to allow a monopoly, the game would change for the better.

And if people were serious when they talk about "a solution that comes from players", they should agree that:

  1. this "solution" has always been hypothetical: monopoly is 100% guaranteed
  2. players need in-game tools to face the problem caused by people that use third-part software to bypass the specifically-designed limits of cross-faction communication.

Either we discuss those tools (cross-faction chat in Un'Goro, Un'Goro arena, etc...) or we must condemn the exploitations of game mechanics to create monopolies.

Sooo..   you're pretty much calling Un'Goro Crater a battleground?     That's interesting.

Are we back at win-trading then?

It's a player made battle ground. Player generated content, in an open world MMORPG.

Now go hug that teddy bear and cry us a river. If the big bad world is too bad for you, just stay away.

Okay, here is the thing:

For example on Nostalrius Mafia and Cartel were battling it out for quite some time. That means cartel horde fought alliance mafia and mafia horde fought alliance cartel. That means that it was PvP. May I show you some clips?

By now you can find easily 15 videos on youtube featuring PvP. On Elyisum currently Iron Edge is competing. Though still losing if they get more support from other guilds they may start hindering Grizzly and co. even further. Maybe Iron Edge gets incorporated, maybe they kick out Grizzly. Who knows? Watch next battleground drama with some nice forum PvP next week. If one lonely guy comes into the crater, prepare to get your anus torn apart. I'm not even 60 yet AND I'm warrior but I look forward to see youtube videos, shitposting by Staysafelol etc. It's just a breath of fresh air. :)

Currently Iron Edge is heavily competing Grizzly and others. Therefore prizes may plummet or the monopoly will go to somebody else. But obviously the monopoly can shift or be torn apart by - oh, how shocking - players who had enough and want a share or want to be the white knights helping casuals who cant organize the player driven force to compete. Either way you can see that resistance is forming among non mafia players!

D. Griefing... Organized cross-faction collaboration

I guess that settles it then. As we've said all along this sort of cross faction collaboration should be disallowed, and now it is. Well done.

Its laughable that allies do this when they could hold the monopoly for their own
