This thread is to find out what things in life take your time away from wow.

 

In my case its wife aggro. Cant raid without her throwing a fit or asking me to turn the game off etc.

Luckly I could run a few MCs. But only if I dont touch the conputer for almost 3 days.

Also there is a girl(male) in my guild so if she hears her is hell ensured. 

 

What things make you stay away from the game?

Do you have any suggestions? Im thinking on dropping some zolpidem on her drink or food. Not sure if she's allergic tho.

Wifeagro is a good reason for me as well, though she lets me raid 2 days a week and play a few hours on regular days, so im probabaly one of the lucky ones in that regard :-D

They can't check which files you modified, was it just models or real hack. Thats why they forbid all file changes alltogether.

They only know the files have a different checksum and have been changed, which is the exact reason they forbid it.

Even if they could check, why should they?  They made the rule very clear. DO NOT modify the game files in ANY way, if you do = ban.

Not only did you modify the game files, but you then taunted the admins with it. What did you expect them to do?  Slap you on the wrist.  gtfo.

As for all those having problems with wives, guys: Wow is 16 years old, spend some time with your ladies, before they decide not to be your ladies anymore!

Training for ultra running. I've run four 50k trail races, and one 50 miler. There's no way I can commit to full on gaming and hope to finish those races in one piece, while also having a healthy relationship :)

 

Im really glad I found out about this server though. It's easier to sign on and enjoy a casual nostalgic experience. Retail still feels like too much pressure.

Is fine, but legit telling it like it is gets censored. Imagine if a girl were telling majority other girls about how her "boyfriend/husband agro" was preventing her from doing what she wanted to do with her free time. I too have a wife, 3 kids, full time job, do the family/friends/sports things.    

You have to stand up for yourself at some point.  How many hours does your wife watch television, movies, read books, stare at her phone for hours doing whatever?  - These are all forms of individual entertainment.  Just like you playing WoW is a source of individual entertainment.

What I chose to do with my free time, as long as it isn't detrimental to my body, my family, my job; shouldn't be of any concern.

Clearly this is your choice of hobby to invest time in and it makes you happy.   Is her happiness more important that your happiness? However way she is choosing to guilt trip you during these times, do the same against her with reading, watching TV, looking at pintrest/facebook/whatever.  She'll soon realize how unreasonable your complaining is, and then you can explain that is what she is doing to you.   The "if she heard another woman's voice" is a huge red-flag of insecurity.   Are you aloud to order food/drink from the female wait-staff/bartender?

Just because she may not understand your hobby, doesn't mean she isn't supposed to respect it.

 

I myself do not like watching TV if it isn't sports related.  I don't watch very many movies, and I don't like to read books (it ruins movies).   My scheduled raid days are my time.   I am a responsible adult, I work my job, I play with my children, and I converse with my wife throughout the day.  I am entitled to do what I enjoy.  So are you.
